Zesty in 2021: Cheers to 3 Years!
How can I summarize 2021–a year that means so much to me personally as well as to Zesty as an organization? It was truly a whirlwind– full of so many firsts, abundant challenges, tons of growth, and amazing success.
Most importantly, it’s the year our dream turned into reality. Just three years ago, my co-founder, Alexey Baikov, and I set out on a journey to make the cloud dream reality. We wanted to free up valuable engineering time and bring real flexibility, scalability, and cost efficiency to cloud management.
With our two products, Commitment Manager and Zesty Disk, hitting the market in 2021, we’re on our way to transforming the way businesses work with cloud infrastructure so engineers will never need to choose between stability, performance, and cost efficiency again.
So now that this incredible year is coming to a close, I’d like to take some time to try and put into words what we’re most proud of in 2021.
We grew…like a ton and had FUN in between!
We kicked off 2021 with around 15 employees and are closing it out with 88. That’s a 500% increase in headcount!
I couldn’t be prouder of our dedicated, innovative, and professional team of thinkers that knows how to get things done and have fun doing it. We wouldn’t have the same level of success without your passion, expertise, and incredible team spirit and I’m humbled you have chosen to bring your talents to Zesty. There’s never a dull moment working with you and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
In addition to expanding our team, we’ve also tremendously increased our revenue. In 2021, our revenue grew by over 600% as we added more top notch organizations to our customer base such as Heap, Kaltura, and Wiz.
We raised $35 million series A
In November, we raised a $35 million Series A funding round led by Next47 with participation from Sapphire Ventures, Samsung Next, and S-Capital. With this funding, Zesty has now raised $42 million in total since its founding just three short years ago in 2019.
This incredible milestone will enable us to expand our team so we can provide the best cloud infrastructure experience on the market to more customers all over the world. We are thrilled that our investors see so much potential for our vision and can’t wait to reach new horizons in 2022!

We Rocked AWS re:invent!
For the first time ever, Zesty had its very own booth at AWS re:Invent, the single largest event for the DevOps and cloud engineering community.
We flew out to Las Vegas to meet with our customers, partners, and the extended community to hear more about the latest innovations from AWS and the industry at large, while showing off a few innovations of our own.
To our delight, our booth was popping–as more and more attendees showed up to see our predictive cloud infrastructure management technology for themselves. We received so many positive responses to our products, further validating the need for Zesty in the market.

2022, here we come!
2021 has been one crazy–and amazing year. And I have our incredible team and investors to thank for our many accomplishments.
